Il numero di Carnevale si apre con la #foolksession di Valerie Ekoumè: abbiamo incontrato la cantante franco-camerunense a Napoli World 2025 e che ci ha catturato con la sua travolgente energia live. Il nostro viaggio sonico prosegue con un focus sulle tradizioni francesi con tre recenti album prodotte dall’associazione culturale AEPEM: “Musique traditionnelle du Berry” di Amaury Babault, “Musique traditionnelle de la Marche et du Limousin” di Jean-Jacques Le Creurer e “Musique traditionnelle de Provence et du Pays Niçois” di Benjamin Mélia, per poi attraversare il Mediterraneo con “Arpaora” di Ana Crismán – nostro disco consigliato – e con il violino del cipriota Michalis Kouloumis del cui “Displaced Dreams” ci parla Francesco Tommasino. L’Argentina vibra nella voce di La Charo, che ha pubblicato “Areté/Tiempo Verdadero”, mentre il ritorno in Italia sceglie le rotte del roots rock con “Endeavours” di Joseph Martone. Per la rubrica Visioni, Valter Giuliano ci porta nel cuore dei Cantacronache attraverso il documentario “Nel blu dipinto di rosso” diretto da Stefano di Polito. Lo spazio jazz vede protagonista un doppio Enrico Pieranunzi: “Heroes” con Aldo Di Caterino Ensemble e “Primoclassica” con il suo trio e Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali. Ancora, nella rubrica “Contemporanea”, Daryana Anripova presenta “The Visit” della violoncellista e compositrice First Nation canadese Cris Derksen. La chiusura è affidata a Corzani Airlines, con il ritratto della batterista norvegese Veslemøy Narvesen sul palco dell'edizione 2023 del Punkt Festivalen a Kristiansand.
