This week’s cover is “Overtones, Interiors’ fourth album, in which all-round sonic exploration is combined with the vitality of rhythmic and melodic achievements. We have spoken to Valerio Corzani about it. Then, we discuss the scenarios but also the possible criticalities of the newly established Rete Italiana della World Music (Italian World Music Network). We continue with reviews of the eponymous disc by the Danish Tone of Voice Orchestra, which our recommended album of the week, and “Maestrale”, the new release from the Roman band Il Muro del Canto. For live music, we attended the conference and workshops at WOMBA (World Music Balkans) 2022 in Novi Sad, the 20th edition of the Pisa Folk Festival and the ICTUS Festival. The songwriting section offers Flavio Poltronieri’s contribution entitled “Ne Me Quitte Pas: una canzone da ridere...”.
