L’ampia pagina internazionale propone, anzitutto, “More Tunes From The Goodman Manuscript” del trio irlandese formato da Mick O’Brien, Emer Mayock e Aoife Nì Bhriain.

Editor's Note
Issue 499’s front page is Edoardo De Angelis’ “Io volevo sognare più forte”, which was created during last year’s lockdown and recorded with a large cast of musicians. In the interview, we hear from the Roman singer-songwriter’s most recent record production, which marks a renewed phase of inspiration. The extensive international page, first of all, features “More Tunes From The Goodman Manuscript” by the Irish trio featuring Mick O'Brien, Emer Mayock and Aoide Nì Bhriain. Then, you find a Scandinavian focus showcasing the records by Helene Blum & Harald Haugaard Band (“Strømmen”), Himla (“Himla”) and Sofia Talvik (“Paws Of A Bear”). The recommended album of the week is Frank London’s “Ghetto Songs”. The trumpeter and composer has intertwined stories, sounds, voices and languages inspired by Jewish cultures and beyond. Also, not to be missed is “Manbarani”,  the new release from the Iraqi oud player Natik Awayez  and “Mersi”, the brand new album recorded by the réunionnaise Christine Salem. Back to Italy you find Marco Corrao’s “Nebros, Vol.1, Stories and ancient echoes2. We offer, then, a review of latest issues of the periodical “Il de Martino”, dedicated to Ivan Della Mea, one delves into his political writings, the other focuses the musical ones. This is followed by a review of “Unknown Path”, released by the guitarist Francesco Zampini. Finally, Valerico Corzani’s picture takes us back to Scandinavia, as it features the  Norwegian folksinger Berit Opheim.
