Ancora sulla rotta balcanica con “White World: Music for Dance and...” del Boris Kovač New Ritual Quartet, poi in Irlanda per “So Ends the Day”, le storie marittime della cantautrice Éilís Kennedy. Ultima tappa in Marocco per “Zid Zid. When Light Takes You on Its Motorbike” di Othman El Kheloufi.

Editor's Note
The October of #FoolkMagazine opens with our album of the month, which is “The Stolen Cello”, the stunning first solo album by the celebrated Albanian cellist and composer Redi Hasa, known for his long artistic career that has led him from the music of his homeland to Salento traditional music, and to his flambouyant collaborations with Ludovico Einaudi and Robert Plant. The Albanian musician explores the expressive potential of the cello, giving life to compositions where he weaves his experience, but also memories, emotions and suggestions of his land. We has spoken to Redi Hasa about the album but also about “Bach is Back”, which saw him as the protagonist last year and which is about to become a documentary produced by Ponderosa Music&Arts. Still on the Balkan route, you find Boris Kovač New Ritual Quartet’s “White World: Music for Dance and...”. Then, we head to Ireland for “So Ends the Day”, the maritime stories of singer-songwriter Éilís Kennedy. Last stop Morocco for Othman El Kheloufi’s  “Zid Zid. When Light Takes You on Its Motorbike”. We recount the reissue of “Manicomi”, the first and only album by De Sfroos, the band from which Davide Van De Sfroos solo career began. A relevant and pleasing event is to have a large page dedicated to live music again. We offer the chronicles from the “Festival Ethnos”, staged in various towns at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, from the “FolkEst” within Alberto Cesa Award took place in the Friuli town of Spilimbergo, and from “Dal Tramonto all'Appia: Around Jazz”, which filled the magnificent Appia Antica Archaeological Park in Rome with the music of top artists of the Italian jazz scene. We propose, therefore, the review of “Pangea” released by the Italian-Tunisian guitarist RednaKS. Finally, Corzani Airlines presents the master of strings Stelios Petrakis, on stage at the 2018 Førde Festivalen.
