This week’s cover story is “Santacaterina”, Alessandro Santacaterina’s debut album. He is a young Calabrian player of the chitarra battente. Francesco Stumpo takes us on a journey through his formative and artistic path, then delves into the analysis of this significant release. We also remember Enrique Roizner, “el baterista que tocó con todos” (the drummer who played with everyone). Staying in Latin America, our focus is on “Where the River Bends Is Only the Beginning” by the duo Saramaccan Sound from Suriname, recorded and produced by Ian Brennan. Following that, there's “Chronicling the Times”, an anthology of the great English singer-songwriter Leon Rosselson, “Bláth na hÓige”, a digital album featuring some of the best performers in the Irish sean nós singing style, and the hybridizations of Lakvar’s “Fiction and Folklore” and En Gramma’s “Beau Brûlis”.
