Protagonista della storia di copertina di Blogfoolk # 397 è Roberto Cacciapaglia con il suo nuovo album “Diapason”. Il pianista e compositore, tra i più apprezzati ed innovativi della scena musicale italiana, prosegue il suo percorso di ricerca tra sperimentazione elettronica e musica classica, dando vita ad architetture sonore e melodiche che evocano la dimensione archetipale della musica. Nell’intervista il compositore lombardo illustra lo spirito che anima il suo nuovo disco. Dalla musica contemporanea, ci spostiamo sui sentieri delle musiche del mondo, presentando il nostro disco consigliato della settimana. Si tratta di “The Capitalist Blues” di Layla McCalla, l’artista newyorkese di genitori haitiani ma residente a New Orleans. Un lavoro appena pubblicato dal forte impatto musicale, emotivo e politico. Un ascolto attento meritano le “voci” degli oud de Le Trio Joubran. “The Long March”, che segna il ritorno sulla scena di Samir, Wissam e Adnan, i fratelli palestinesi di Nazareth, è un disco importante per il trio – già ai vertici della Transglobal World Music Chart –, ispirato dalle liriche del poeta Mahmoud Darwish e al quale ha collaborato Roger Waters. Altro lavoro di natura sperimentale è “Muunduja”, nato dalla collaborazione tra la violinista e folksinger estone Maarja Nuut e il connazionale, mago dell’elettronica Ruum, al secolo Hendrick Kaljujarv. Vi proponiamo, ancora, “Il Sangre e il Sal”, ultima incisione dei Radiodervish. Spazio, poi, alla musica dal vivo con il concerto del trio Tamala (Bao Sissoko, Mola Sylla e Wouter Vandenabeele) al Teatro Candiani di Mestre lo scorso 22 febbraio 2019. Chitarre al centro della scena per il doppio concerto di Dario Fornara e Roberto Menabò tenutosi al Teatro Civico Luciano Pavarotti di Leinì (TO), all’interno della seconda edizione della rassegna “I suoni della torre”. Per la canzone d’autore, vi parliamo di “Il posto giusto”, album postumo della indimenticata Ghita Casadei. Storico polistrumentista country e bluegrass italiano, saggista, didatta, divulgatore e giornalista esperto di musica popolare statunitense, è stato anche consulente musicale di Martin Scorsese per il film “Gangs of New York”, nel quale appare in alcune scene proprio come musicista.
